In England, the Pilgrams were joined by another group of colonists eager to go to America.

The people were not on a holy mission, they were farmers and tradesmen who wanted to find a better life in the new land.

The Pilgrams called the group Strangers.

The Saints and Strangers boarded two ships, but on ship leaked so badly it had to be left behind in the town of Plymouth, England.

The party of 102 passengers was then forced to crowd on the remaining vessel , the Mayflower.

On September 16,1620, the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth into the pages of history.
