The United States won the Battle of Trenton. Right after General George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River north of Trenton the previous night, Washington led the main body Continental Army against lesion soldiers garrisoned at Trenton. The reason why this battle should be remembered it is an important event in the American Revolutionary war because it inspired beleaguered American soldiers to reenlist and encouraged more men to join the fledgling American Military.
